In the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Autism Families Association, Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan Al Saud, the Director of Prince Faisal bin Fahd Youth House, Mr. Yasser Al-Nassar, the CEO of Special Olympics Saudi Arabia, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Quraishi, and Mr. Fahad Al-Shammari, Senior Public Relations Supervisor at Almarai Company. The closing ceremony of the Prince Faisal bin Bandar Health and Physical Rehabilitation Program for Autistic Youth for its fourth session was held on Sunday evening at the headquarters of Prince Faisal Youth House in Riyadh.
The program kicked off last August and ran for four consecutive months, involving more than 50 young people with autism.
The young athletes received elite training from specialized trainers from Special Olympics Saudi Arabia, and the activities varied from football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, and gymnastics.
The program, like its previous sessions, aimed to develop, develop, mobilize and refine the abilities and sports skills of autistic youth, which has a noticeable and positive return in the case of improvement and development in mental, psychological, physical, muscular, behavioral, social and more.
Prior to the ceremony, HH Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan toured the sports facilities with the autistic youth.
The ceremony included a review of the program's journey during the past period and honoring the success partners from the authorities and supporters. Especially the beneficiaries.
For his part, the Chairman of the Council, Prince Saud said: “We are grateful today and happy in this joyful ceremony, which is headed by our heroic youth with autism, and we are always proud of their unique abilities and skills that deserve refinement, opportunities and fairness, and from this point of view and belief, we were keen to provide a supportive, healthy and ready sports environment to unleash their energies and sports potential through the Prince Faisal bin Bandar Program for Health and Physical Rehabilitation.
300 young people with autism have been empowered in the previous sessions, and now we are joyfully concluding the fourth session of the program, which proved its success and positive results, praise be to God. I also congratulate the autistic youth on their success and their remarkable excellence, and remind them of our support and standing by their side, and I will not forget to thank the success partners. We ask God Almighty for continued success and success ”
