Launching of the Forum for Educational Services Provided for People with Autism.

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Asir region, the Autism Families Association, in cooperation with the General Administration of Education, launched the work of the first forum for educational services provided to people with autism spectrum disorder at the region level.
The first forum included a number of dialogue sessions, discussion theses, and accompanying workshops aimed at developing educational services provided to people with autism, especially presenting the most important problems and challenges that they may face and reviewing solutions to avoid and overcome them in the best possible ways.​

The forum witnessed the presence of the Secretary General of the Association, Ms. Areej Al-Muallem, the Director of Education in the Asir region, Mr. Fahd Al-Aqla... and a number of important legal persons.

The Secretary General of the Association appreciated the initiative of His Royal Highness, Governor of the Asir Region, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, for his generous sponsorship of the forum, stressing that it is one of his unsurprising supportive initiatives for people with autism spectrum disorder and their families. She stated, “The forum comes within a series of the association’s continuous steps towards everything that serves and supports people with autism and facilitates Ways for them to access the best possible services... especially when it comes to education. The association is doubly keen on ensuring the best educational path for our dear sons and daughters with autism, which in turn will qualify them for a better future that suits them and enables them to achieve their ambitions and dreams.”

It is worth noting that the forum is the third under the auspices of the Emir of the region, preceded by the first forum for autism services and the forum for health services for people with autism at the regional level.
