His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, sponsored the launch of the first health forum for services provided to people with autism spectrum disorder at the regional level, which was organized by the Autism Families Association in cooperation with the Eastern Health Complex represented by Irada and Mental Health Complex in Dammam, and a number of health sectors in the Eastern Province.

  A group of specialists will participate in the forum, in the presence of leading personalities at the regional level. With the aim of introducing health services provided to people with autism spectrum disorder and their families, knowing their concerns and needs, and developing programs and projects that will serve them at the regional level in partnership between various governmental, private, and developmental sectors,

And the exchange of expertise and experiences through scientific and dialogue sessions and workshops presented to specialists and families of people with autism, as a continuation of the series of forums organized by the association at the level of the Kingdom. 

  His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Autism Families Association, stated that the forum will discuss several issues represented in raising and synergizing efforts between the health sectors and service providers for people with autism spectrum disorder and their families, and seeking to come up with several recommendations that would improve the health services provided in the region. Because such forums will contribute to raising the level of knowledge of service providers and specialists, and highlighting the most important autism needs in the region. 

He praised the support of His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Region for the cause of autism stemming from his keenness and interest in raising the quality of life for people with autism at the level of the region.   

It is noteworthy that the forum is the second of its kind after the previous forum met with great success at the level of the Asir region under the auspices of His Highness, the Emir of the Asir region, as the Autism Families Association is working to launch its third edition during the coming period in the Riyadh region.
