His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, today sponsored the inauguration ceremony of the second International Autism Conference and Exhibition, which discusses empowering life through knowledge and integration, at the Dhahran International Exhibition Center (Expo) in Al-Khobar.
The Autism Families Association was a silver sponsor of the conference. The conference, which was attended by more than 100 speakers, including doctors, specialists, and experts in this field from within and outside the Kingdom, aimed to exchange experiences and review the latest research, technologies, and global experiences in the field of autism. The conference witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation to employ 1,000 people with autism spectrum disorder.
His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province praised the services provided by charitable associations concerned with supporting and assisting people with autism, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, which pays great attention to the third sector and provides it with all the support and assistance it needs to achieve its goals in serving beneficiaries.
His Highness highlighted the achievements made in the areas of awareness, rehabilitation, and direct services provided to beneficiaries, stressing the importance of continuing these efforts in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership and contributing to improving the lives of people with autism in the Kingdom.
