The Coordinating Committee of Autism Societies launches the 2024 Autism Societies Forum in Jazan

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan region, the Coordinating Committee of Autism Societies launched the work of the Autism Societies Forum 2024 in Jazan city. In the presence of the Honorary Chairman of the Committee, Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan Al Saud. The forum witnessed the presence of more than 49 specialized autism associations from around the Kingdom, in addition to important leaders from the Council of NGOs and entities interested in autism.

The forum aims to introduce the Coordinating Committee for Autism Associations, which is the first committee for autism in the country, and aims to create a sustainable renaissance for autism associations in the sector by developing the services provided to people with autism through support and support for specialized associations, benefiting from the experiences of distinguished associations, enabling associations to keep pace with technological developments and promoting digital transformation, especially addressing ways to develop innovative financing tools to support financial sustainability.

The forum included a number of dialogue sessions and accompanying workshops with a number of speakers, including heads of associations, specialists and consultants in various fields such as developmental housing, the National Center for Developmental Disorders, family, artificial intelligence, and more.

Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan Al Saud, Honorary Chairman of the Committee, said: “It is a great pleasure to meet here today with one common goal, which is to empower, develop and advance the services provided to people with autism and their families in order to achieve better opportunities on several levels: It is a joy to meet here today with one original purpose that unites us, which is to empower, develop and develop the services provided to people with autism and their families to achieve better opportunities for them on several levels by meeting the most prominent leaders in the sector and associations under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This forum started in the capital Riyadh last year and today we are in one of the most important regions of our beloved Kingdom ... Jazan region, which confirms our keenness to cover awareness and provide quality and comprehensive care for our loved ones with autism in various regions of the Kingdom. We thank God for what has been facilitated and ask him for help and success in all that is to come.”

As part of a series of plans to upgrade the quality of services provided to people with autism, the forum dedicated a signing session to a number of important agreements, as the Coordinating Committee for Autism Associations signed a memorandum of understanding with Hisham Hassan Hanbouli International Law Firm to provide legal services to autism associations in the Kingdom. With the aim of developing the cadres in the associations, the committee signed a memorandum of understanding with the Autism Candle Company to provide services in the technical, operational and administrative aspects of autism associations in the Kingdom, and in the technical aspect, the committee signed with Wakeb Data and Communications Company to support autism associations in the Kingdom to achieve digital transformation at the best levels and comprehensive empowerment in this regard. The committee also signed a memorandum of understanding with Jaz International to provide consulting services and logistical and administrative solutions for autism associations in the Kingdom.

 

“We are happy today with this tireless endeavor, the supportive leadership role and the empowering scene that we have always known and are not surprised by,” said Ms. Areej Al-Moallem, head of the Coordinating Committee of Autism Associations. This is with the aim of making a qualitative leap in the services provided in the autism sector by establishing quality projects and implementing pioneering initiatives to enable NGOs to achieve outstanding results for beneficiaries through coordination, unification and mobilization of efforts to build an advanced and sustainable developmental state according to the highest standards and levels in order to secure a better quality of life for thousands of autistic people and their families in various fields and at all levels.  We ask the Almighty God for clarity and guidance.”

It is worth mentioning that the first forum for autism associations in the Kingdom was held in Riyadh last year.
