The Secretary General of the Association visits Sanad City for Special Education in Makkah

On Wednesday morning, the Secretary General of the Association, Ms. Areej Al-Moallem, visited Sanad City for Special Education in Makkah, where she was received by the Director General of the city, Dr. Musaed Al-Ayed, to discuss ways of mutual cooperation in the sector and present areas of development and future partnerships to serve and support people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the region.

The visit also included an enriching introductory tour of the city to familiarise themselves with the services provided to people with disabilities and autism in particular.

For her part, the Secretary General stated, ‘This visit comes as previous effective visits with the aim of making a difference and covering the necessary needs in line with achieving the vision of the Association to create a sustainable development situation in accordance with the highest levels of international practices to ensure a better quality of life for people with autism spectrum disorder and their families in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.’

It is worth mentioning that the Secretary General of the Association has visited more than 30 centres and facilities in the previous period between the Eastern Province, Asir Region, Medina, Qassim and Hail, in continuation of achieving the Association's plans to upgrade the quality of services provided in the sector in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
