Under the patronage and attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, the Autism Families Association launched the work of the first forum for services provided to people with autism at the level of the northern borders in Arar at the Northern Borders University headquarters. In the presence of the President of the Association, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan Al Saud.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan inaugurated the first forum for services provided to people with autism.
With the presence of officials and leaders from various sectors such as education, health, housing, and more.
The forum aims to introduce the services provided to people with autism at the level of the Northern Borders region, strengthen partnerships between sectors and service providers for people with autism, highlight the most important needs of people with autism and their families to develop programs and projects that serve their aspirations in the region, and educate parents of people with autism spectrum disorder about the rights of their children in various sectors.
The forum included a panel discussion and accompanying workshops with a number of speakers from officials, specialists and consultants in the field.
The forum targets the attendance of families and beneficiaries with autism and witnessed the participation of more than 10 service providers with separate informational corners at the forum's headquarters.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid's tour also included a visit to the Risha Taif Creative Project corner, which included the display of paintings by autistic children with an elite group of artists in the Kingdom, which won the international Stevie Award at the Middle East level.
H.H. Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, said:” Today, we are pleased to launch the first forum for autism services in the Northern Borders region under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan Al Saud.
Under the patronage of our wise leadership, we at the Autism Families Association seek to achieve our goals aimed at influencing, developing and sustainable development in the autism sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by harnessing all available resources to upgrade the quality of services provided to people with autism in line with the vision of our dear country 2030.
It is our duty and one of our most important goals to inform our parents and loved ones with autism in various regions of the Kingdom of all services and what is necessary to define and educate about the services provided to people with autism in various fields and on several levels to ensure them a better quality of life, God willing.
