The Autism Families Association launched the Coordinating Committee for Autism at the level of the Kingdom, with the aim of advancing the autism sector and achieving sustainability and impact for a brighter future for people with autism spectrum disorder, with the participation of all associations specializing in autism, and in the presence of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, the Honorary Chairman of the Committee, And the CEO of the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Suwailem.
The committee is a community initiative by the association towards its counterparts from other associations to advance institutional work in the autism sector. The committee was headed by the Secretary-General of the Autism Families Association, Areej Al-Moallem.
Al-Moallem stated that the committee came to support other associations to achieve their social goals, including financial sustainability, which is one of the most important goals of the association and is in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030 with regard to the third sector and its participation in increasing the domestic product, as well as raising the ceiling of the work of relevant civil associations by strengthening the institutional building of workers in sector, improving the services provided and harnessing the capabilities of officials to meet the needs of the autism sector in the Kingdom.
For his part, Al-Suwailem affirmed his full support for the autism sector, pointing to the importance of working on the integration and joining efforts to advance it.
